Going crazy for BANANAS

When we have been to Queenstown (NZ) we ate at least 4 bananas each day. They were soooo cheap!!! And we met other Aussies in the supermarket who also bought a whole bunch of bananas after seeing the price tag. We just smiled at each other :-)

The price for one kilogram of bananas here in Australia at the moment is about A$10-14 (6-8Euro) whereas in NZ they only cost NZ$2 (1Euro) per kilogram. The cyclone Larry that hit the cost of Queensland in March this year destroyed most of the banana crops. This article expects the price for one kilogram will double from A$3 to A$6… It hasn’t doubled it is now four times higher!
