Today is Daffodil Day!
Various Cancer Societies around the world use the Daffodil as fundraising symbol. "Daffodil Days" are organised to raise funds by offering the flowers in return for a donation. (wikipedia)

I had expreienced one of the "Daffodil Days" when I was travelling to NZ/Australia in year 1997.
Really meaningful and till today I still remember the moment I received the daffodil, so nice & beautiful...I have one of the video of it too!
We don't have this practice in my Country, we get a sticker instead of flower...I meant real flower.
